Welcome to my blog. Thanks for getting on board the Class of '81 train. I'm a late passenger but now a big believer in its purpose. I wish to assist its progress by enjoining everyone already in the group, and hopefully responding to this blog, to reconnect and get everyone hooked up again. Like many of those on line already, I realize we cannot bring back the past but we can relive it by interacting. If it takes away some of the aches and pains of age and the rigors of your day-to-day routine, why not take a short trip down memory lane?
First, an explanation of my blog title. Other than a play on Pangasinan words, I'm referencing a favorite movie my kids grew up with "BABE". A piglet growing up in a world it knows very little of; finding joys and challenges, sometimes by accident, at times by design. The BELEK asks questions and acts according to its nature, but ultimately accepting the world he finds himself in, trying to fit even as everything about him seem intent on running it over. In the end, one realizes that the unifying message is to laugh when hilarity exists. The world will give you a reason to do otherwise, and sometimes you do the same to the world.
We were all once Beleks, and though we've all become either kaongs, bulogs, or porkchops, the world continues to bear on us. Come laugh with me...
